Day 2 - 500 calories

8:30 am
Let's just say don't go on this diet when you still have some junk food from the loading days still there.
5 reese's peanut butter cups
1/2 c of spinach dip
1 1/2 c of all natural chips
1/2 c avocado dip
Carob clusters
Yeah, 8:30 hit and the emotions went through the roof. All I could think about was that stuff in my cupboard. So I decided there's only one way to help myself, eat it- cause I didn't want to throw it away. I was sure I gained yesterday but I lost .4lbs. Here's to fresh start with no junk in the house! Lol.
If you check my blog constantly you will see that I have been updating these blogs throughout the day.  Does that work for some people?  Or should I just save it and then post at the end of the day?
6:15pm
I just ate dinner but let me update you about my lunch...
Now don't worry.  This wasn't my full lunch.  I visited with a friend and brought my own lunch.  I brought the cod fish and the steamed broccoli for lunch and the rest was for extras in case I got hungry.  I only munched on one stick of gum while I was there.  I guess you could say this was a care package.
This is what I had for dinner.
There is a bit more asparagus and chicken then they say as far as the weight.  But I put it on my lose it! app and it says that I have only consumed 332 calories today so far.  Minus the 97 calories from half of my grapefruit that I will be consuming for my snack later.  So I decided I could add a few more of these items and see what the scale says tomorrow.  I guess I will sign off for the day.  Now comes the evening...the hard part.  The only thing I have to eat in my cupboard would be some carob clusters (I was too full to eat them all last night and they are sweet).  But I can probably guarantee that I will polish them off tonight... :(  But they have to go or they will plaque me every day.
NIGHTY NIGHT.

Day 1 of 500 Calories

11:45am
I am totally not hungry at all.  In fact, I feel full.  I had my tea this morning and I can have as much tea as I want through out the day so long as it's no calorie or no fat tea.  That means I can't enjoy my chai latte and I'm not really into chai tea so much.  I use truvia for sweetening.  But I don't like that it tastes almost like splenda.
I got on the scale this morning and I was down 1.8lbs from yesterday.  Probably because I was able to get rid of some of the junk from the first loading day.  And I wasn't that hungry yesterday and only went out to eat at Izzy's at 7:30 and then didn't eat anything else after that.  I only had a cup of coffee thinking it would keep me awake to do homework but I was so tired.  Here's the problem...I didn't sleep a wink.  Coffee has never effected me like that.  But it was Starbucks instant coffee and that's usually the only coffee I drink that actually works for me.  So I had to skip classes today and stay at home to catch some sleep.  I checked my syllabus' and was happy to see that nothing extremely important was going on that I couldn't make up.  So back to bed I went but I woke up every hour.  So it was 11:00 and I was awake.  I headed to the scale...saw my progress so far.  Would it be stupid for me to weigh myself more than one time during the day?
So anyway, that's how my morning is going so far.  I opened all the blinds in the house.  I want Spring to come but it's cold and blustery with random rain.  But I can still dream.
6:26pm
YAY!  I made it to dinner time.  I thought I would post my eats on here
11:30 - cup of tea
12:45 - 3.5oz spinach with 3.5oz shrimp meat
1:50 - 6 strawberries
2:10 - cup of tea
4:00 - 3.5 ounces of cauliflower
5:30 - 1 stick of gum
6:16 - 1 apple and 3.5oz of scallops
6:29 - 1 stick of gum
I went shopping right before dinner to get some gum and soda that I can have since it has no calories and no fat or sugar.  I also got some coffee.  I gotta have something that has flavor to keep me occupied during the hard times.
I read a video blog and most people say the first two days are the hardest.  Hopefully that's true.  I can't wait to get on the scale tomorrow and see what it says.

Day 2 - loading

It's really weird to not get hungry.  Seriously, the last two days I have not had hunger pangs.  I have had thirst pangs though.  From the junk I bought last night, there was no way I was going to eat it all and I hadn't opened my plain chips and cheetos so I took them back to the store when it was time to go 500 calorie shopping.  I got imitation crab meat yesterday thinking I would use it for the diet but turns out it has sugar and other stuff so that's a no go.  Instead I got scallops, cod, shrimp, free range 100% natural chicken breasts(I figure I'm gonna get tired of eating fish two meals a day so I better throw some variety in there), onions, a grapefruit, and strawberries too.  So that should be enough to keep me going for a week.  Yesterday I contacted a friend who I knew did the diet too and she said her and her son where gonna do another round of it and they will start on Tuesday with me.  How nice!  And it's nice to get texts from Sherah about how here weight loss is going.  It totally helps me to stay encouraged.
I got on the scale this morning and I had gone up 5lbs.  I haven't been this weight since June 2011.  CRAZY!!!!  I hope to lose that all in the next two days.  Maybe I went over board a bit about how much junk I was actually eating.  I went to Izzy's (salad and pizza buffet) for dinner tonight as my "last meal" so to speak.  Lol!  Anyway, I already packaged up my shrimp with spinach and lemon sauce and 6 large strawberries for tomorrow's lunch and snack.  I am so excited to get this weight loss started again and to see results.  And it's a lot less preparation.  I was even able to make my room mate a lunch with left over food I never ate before I had to start this.
Anyway, I am off to bed.  Gonna have some lemon tea tomorrow for breakfast.  I really gotta stay on top of drinking this water.  Sherah, if you want, could you text me every time you finish 16 ounces of water(if you remember) so I could stay on top of my drinking?  It will remind me to get some right away.

Day 1 Loading Day

This morning I weighed in 268.8 lb. That means I lost 3 lbs on my detox diet. I gained more yesterday morning, maybe because I had the munchies the night before.
I am starting the HCG diet this morning and I get to eat whatever I want especially lots of fat. So here I sit at ihop. No church until 3pm today. I forgot that it can be crowded here with it being Sunday morning.
I measured my body this morning to see where I will be losing the inches. Wish me luck. This is going to be hard only eating 500 calories per day. Maybe I will get over my obsession with food since I won't be able to eat it whenever and whatever I want.
5:50pm
Here I am sitting in burger king thinking to myself. "I have eaten this much junk/bad food and not done it as emotional eating. It's weird to be eating this way for a purpose. I haven't done any snacking today. I stay full from all the eating out I'm doing. I am supposed to drink 8 glasses of water and I am just finishing my 4th. I better get cracking.
11:25pm
I just took my second dose of drops.  I actually didn't feel hungry all day.  I went shopping to get junk.  I serious went shopping specifically for junk.
See the avocados?  They were the only "healthy" thing I bought.  I was thinking, I never done shopping like this if I wasn't doing it for emotional eating.  It was weird to go through the shopping things to get things that have the most fat.  I might have gained 5 pounds today...not sure.  The lunches are for my lunch tomorrow and in case you didn't know...they have like 14 grams of fat!!!!!  Hopefully I won't die from eating this tonight and tomorrow.

Detox day 2

So, I managed through a whole 24 hours about 95% detox. A bite here or there of something not detoxing. I wanted to update this more but I didn't have enough time. I managed to get a shot of wheatgrass today. I went to the gym and sat in the hot tub and sauna. The steam room wasn't working. Which was a bummer. Tonight my body seems sore. The left side of my back seems to be sore and my stomach muscles too. I drink tons of water and had to green drinks.
Enough about that, I decided to start the HCG diet tomorrow. I get to eat tons of junk for two days before I have to restrict my diet. I don't really have any time to workout so this diet will really help me lose weight. I never thought I would do it but I guess I'm desperate enough. I just really want to see the scale that down, I'm tired of it going up all the time. So here's to new beginnings. I dyed my hair of a bit lighter brown today. I'll try to keep you updated on how things are going. Good night.

Detox

Yep, I'm doing a detox. But I am doing it my way.  I got a massage tonight I really wanna just have a few good days with getting rid of this gunky feeling.  I can't seem to find time to work out and it's bothering me.  And I hate this emotional eating.  So I gotta work with that too.  So I decided I'm gonna do the detox thing again and see what happens.  This was Day 1 of some what starting.  I had cereal this morning with chia seeds.  Then I had organic tomato soup with a can of tuna and multigrain crackers for lunch.  And then an  apple for snack.  And a small amount of popcorn and dried fruit for another snack since I was at the child development center and I watch the kids there til 5.  Then I came home, showered and shaved, and then went to Massage Envy for the massage. The original girl was not available so I went with another woman but I didn't like her.  She didn't massage very much and I was dozing on and off.  She did most of her work on my back and I like my arms and legs done too.  I guess I have to hold out for my original girl.  So anyway, after that I came home and I have to say that reading healthy articles really helps keep me motivated.  I did some yoga and drank detox tea and lots of water.  I also lit lots of candles.  SEE.
The candles are really relaxing.  I am also keeping a journal.  When I was a little girl I used to keep a journal and put pictures that I liked into it.  Be it newspaper clippings or random photos of people I knew.
And that way of blogging really helps me a lot.  Some of these pictures I took myself.  Anyway, it's pretty late and I was meaning to do more blogging but I didn't.  So I'll go now and update more tomorrow.

Band Wagon!

I'm on the band wagon.  Today is February 1st and the start of a new journey for me.  My battle against food.  It gives me so many problems.  I hate to start this post off on a bad foot but I must briefly explain to you how that last month has been.  I have started school and with that comes stress.  Then My brother came to visit me, which was very exciting and the emotions went crazy.  I hate admit that I bought Panda Express for lunch and Burger King for late dinner. And then a midnight snack of icecream after that.  Horrible and so my face began to break out.
Then my brother left.  I did fast food on Sunday and Izzy's buffet on Monday and then yesterday I did a chinese buffet yesterday.  I stuffed myself both of those times.  Just to get food comfort me.  And it didn't work.  The moment  I walked out the chinese buffet and sat in my car I wanted to cry.  Because I had done something I hated and also tried to draw comfort from but it didn't work.  The same time my mom called me and we had a nice long chat cause she knew how I must be doing after seeing home friends again for a short time and having them leave.  I LOVE MY MOM!  I must try to call her more often instead of binging.
And TODAY!!!  It was so hard to get to school yesterday and today because I am fighting allergies from all the bad food I have been eating and so my immune system was down and I got a bit of a throat thing.  That hasn't happened to me in so long.  Then I went to work for eight hours.
Ate 2 eggs and half a cup of greek yogurt @ 10:45am
5 oz of blueberries @ 1:35pm
2 cups white rice, and steamed broccoli, artichokes, and green onions - about 1 1/2 cup @ 3:15pm
1 Amy's cheese enchilada with black beans and corn & small portion offered to me by a co-worker, plus a tiny peanut butter cupcake, peanut and almond bar.
THEN I WENT TO THE GYM!!!!  You heard me...I did.
I was actually gonna work on removing my zits via picasa but then I realized, no.  It shows how my body is trying to detox from all the bad food I am eating.  It felt so good to go back to the gym after three months.  I have worked out the beginning of last December but not at the 24hr fitness gym.  I went on the bike for 20 minutes and then on the eliptical for 15.  I was exhausted then.  There were so many people there that I didn't feel like bothering with starting on the weight machines first like I usually do.  And when I was done the workout, I didn't stretch.  I know I may regret that in the morning.  I can almost already feel it.  And so when I was driving home I was trying to think of something to eat.  I wanted it to have protein in it.  I don't fully understand why they say to have some protein after a workout but I figure...I'm hungry.  Why not get something healthy.  I remembered I had bought 36 tubs of 6 oz blueberry's for $36 at work so I thought to make some blueberry pancakes.  I am not sure if I am gluten intolerant but I like to cut down on some of that stuff as much as I can.  I saw a Roth's on the way home so I stopped in there...got some milk, gluten free bob's red mill pancake mix, diced tomato can, stewed tomato can, a can of corn, and tomato paste to go with my cabbage stew I love to make.  It's especially good for weight loss but I just love the taste of it.
Anyway, I am not very good at making pancakes but my new room mate Katie is.  That's right.  I moved.  A friend of mine, who was my first official room mate(I had some others but this was the first one where everything was 50/50.  I used to just "live with people".  Anyway, we finally had an opportunity to move in together and we took it.  That was another thing that's stressing me out like CrAzY!!!!!!!!!  My room is so unorganized and there are tons of boxes in the garage.  I did just get one great news...NO CLASS on FRIDAY morning.  My teacher has an appointment.  So that means sleeping in for me and then doing tons of school work to catch up.
Back to the blueberry pancakes.  They turned out delicious and I even sprinkled some cinnamon on them for more flavor.  And with my maple syrup of course!  It made three this size.  I should have stopped at one but it was so good I ate two.  And one is saved for my breakfast tomorrow morning.  The ingredients goes like this: 1 1/2 c of pancake mix, 1tbsp of vegetable oil(I used safflower), 1 large egg, and 3/4 cup of milk(you can use it with all kinds of milk, I used Almond Dream). This recipe is on the back of the package.  I could have baked the cinnamon right into the batter but I didn't think to add it until after I already made them.
I was so inspired that I decided to make my cabbage/tomato stew I have been meaning to make in so long.  So I whipped out my huge cabbage that I got on sale at the market and chopped it up.  We didn't have any large pots so I used 3 smaller ones and they were still stuffed full.  I had to dump them into a bigger glass bowl in order to mix it and then put it back in the pots to boil and simmer.
I am having a small bowl right now...yummy.
Anyway, I had so much cabbage left that I decided I wanted to make my own cole slaw.  I only found it in one of my recipe books, The Amish Favorites.  The original recipe is: 2 cups very fine shredded cabbage, 3/4 cup sugar(which I used a small packet of stevia extract and small packet of xylitol), 2tbsp. water, 3tbsp of vinegar, and 1/2 tsp of salt.  I also added about 1/3 c mayonnaise and 1/3 c of raisins.

I have never made cole slaw and it's not usually my favorite but this stuff was so GOOD!!!  I think I might need to turn it into a mid-night snack. I ate a couple of spoonfuls before I forced myself to package it and put it in the the fridge.  So now I have food premade for me to just nuke in the microwave or heat up on the stove.  YAY!  I always do way better with eating when I preplan.
On my way home from the gym I saw a small store called "The Health Foods Store".  I plan on visiting tomorrow to see if it's anything worth while.  Sometimes those stores can be real expensive.
Oh and because I was moving in with Katie I didn't have a blender.  So I did what my mom did and went to Wal-mart and finally decided to buy one.  I wanted to get one that would pulverize my green drinks because I hate chunks in them.  And this was the next best thing to a Vita-mix, which I cannot afford right now.  So I bought this smaller size for $70.  And it has single serve glasses to blend the drinks in.

So I am excited about this.  It works so well.  So this has been a very long post and I hope that I didn't bore you too much.  This morning my weight was 265.4.  YIKES!!!  I really wanna lose more weight.  I have decided to start this new thing...I used to not workout at night because I didn't seem to lose weight as well when I did that.  But I'm saying screw that!  I'm gonna workout everyday.  Be it after classes are over for the day (4pm) or after work (8pm).  I'm gonna do it.  Because something is better than nothing.  I finally did my weight loss stones thing and I found this great saying to go with it.
There are 40 stones in the right now and I am gonna fill up this vase if it's the last thing I do!!!  QUESTIONS?  COMMENTS?  Feel free...
