Visiting Urgent Care

I am on my fourth day of taking the Jillian Michaels pills.  The fat burning ones.  They seem to be working pretty well.  I am going back down to my lowest weight.
On another note, I thought I would come on here and tell you how my last 2 days have been.   About a month ago I went camping and almost fainted.  I can't remember if I posted about that before.  But anyway, the last month I have been having dizzy, off-balance spells.  People at work kept pushing to go get checked out.  Well yesterday, I got out of bed and realized I had to fight to keep my balance.  Walking to the bathroom with a bit of a sway.  And I used the bathroom and got on the scale.  Once I stepped off I lost my balance and fell backwards only to realize that I caught myself on the wall which was conveniently there.  I figured it would go away, so I put my contacts in and that did help a little.  So I went to work, knowing there is no way I can call in. There has been a lot of that lately.
Well it only got worse.  I started to have that feeling like I was going to faint again...just not as bad as the first time.  But it scared me and brought tears to my eyes.  Things worked out and I was able to leave work.
I was determined to find a doctor that would take me even though I have no insurance and no money.  I found one but she had to accept me as a patient first.  So I had to wait.
I had lots of suggestions from people.  Even the back being out, ear infections, thyroid, low-blood sugar etc.    So I laid on my vibrating pad last night, drank tons of water and iced it.  This morning I was a bit better.  Went to work and was only there barely an hour and had a bad episode.  Tears were coming down my face I tried to breathe and tell my boss what was going on.  She wasn't there the day before.  So we decided I should leave.
I did, called that office back and they told me that they weren't going to accept me.  A person I work with says she has a son who has a doctor that is accepting news patients in Keizer.  So I give them a call, it's the Salem Clinic.  And they say I can apply to be a new patient.  There is a $142 one time deposit.  But if I want to be seen today I can go into their urgent care and bee seen by the first doctor.  And then I won't have to pay that again when I schedule with my real doctor.  So I say, OK.  Why not.  I go in there, didn't have to wait too long.  And I am seen by a woman who says my sinuses seem to be a bit swelled.  I tell her how I have been eating and stuff (losing weight).  She was surprised when I told her I lost 50lbs.  So she decides we will take some blood work just to check.  She writes me a prescription for some dizziness.  Which I was able to get a generic over-the-counter drug from walmart for $6. YAY!  So I wait all day, until 8:30pm.  They call me and say that everything turned up normal.  I say, "so, there's nothing wrong with me?". She says something to the effect that I am not diabetic, my sodium and other levels are normal.  And there was no infection.  Ok, so it can't be sinuses, right?
This is where the guy poked me.  I haven't had my blood taken in over 10 years.  IT HURT.  I think he scratched me...can you tell?

So that's where I am now.  They can't find anything.  My plans tomorrow is to call the clinic again and set-up an appointment with a real doctor.  Maybe then he can check my thyroid and anything else.  Hopefully that works out to go see him.  I hope to do it tomorrow.

I made that frosting thing that Tone sent me.  I love the licorice flavor.  Pretty much it was the same thing I was making before to cover my bananas but it had licorice flavoring and almond butter.  YUMMY!!  I am gonna use that lots!  Ok, off I go.  Later.

I WON!!

You may have read in one of my other blogs that I won a competition.  YAY!!  I am so excited.  Today I received the package.
I have a friend Tone who lives in Norway.  When I started this weight loss she told me about her experience and everything that she has been eating etc.  I have learned so much from her.  She has always been an awesome friend.  That is how I was introduced to superfoods.  And mostly coconut oil and natural stuff with tons of nutrients.  Since then I usually order all my stuff from Iherb.com  They have a discount for a first time buyer.  If you ever use IHerb you can use my discount code: COB716  It gets you some money off which is nice.  But there are cheap and it's free shipping for orders over $40.  Since then I have been ordering from them so you can imagine my excitement to know I would be getting a free package from them.  Here's what I got -
Tone has told me about these lollipops and I have never ordered them.  So I am so excited to get some.  And she also just blogged about the Hemp Shake.  I love trying new things that Tone discovers.  I can always run out of Coconut oil and cacao powder.  The almond butter is awesome...I want to learn how to make a healthy bread for this.  I know there are recipes I can find.  I just have to not be lazy and actually make it.  And then the Anise flavoring.  Which I believe is licorice.  Tone loves to make chocolate with this flavoring and I just have never gotten it.  So now I think I will be hooked on it.  YAY!!  I can't believe how lucky I am.
I just want to thank Tone for her support.  When they had a -50lbs party for me a couple of weeks ago I really wished that she could have been there.  She is one my big supporters and we know how IMPORTANT those are in our lives when we are trying to do something difficult.  So I think I've gotten more motivation!!  I'm off to drop some more pounds!!!!

More Motivation

I think most of problems come from not remembering my motivation.  I"m not unhappy with how I look.  I am fine with it.  I don't need to be skinny to be happy.  But I do want to be healthy and fit.  And I know that with that comes happiness.  Since taking these Jillian Michaels pills.  I have gone back down to a regular weight.  I think I am not having enough BM's.  TMI?  Well, that's the problem.  And these pills are magnesium.  So I might incorporate those pills into my diet...just not as much as I am taking now for the detox & cleanse.  I have one day left and then I can begin to take my fat burning pills of the section.  I really need to clean my room.  Mostly that motivates me to be more organized to stay on a schedule.  Or it could be because I stopped taking the thyroid pills, which give me energy.  But they are so expensive.
I got a fitness magazine in the mail today and that motivated me to get off my big butt and do something...So here I go.

From one to the other

Yesterday I did a 24 hour Water and Watermelon cleanse.  I was really gaining weight.  I believe it was muscle but I don't like seeing the scale go up so much.  So I successfully did the 24 hour and then at 8:30pm I had a salmon fillet with quinoa.  This morning I had dropped back 5 pounds!  YAY!
To from one to the other.  I was going to get some more Alli pills to help me burn weight faster.  At this rate I have no idea how I am going to hit my goal.  These Alli pills really helped me last time so I'm wanted to try them again.  They cost $60 for 40 days.  WOW!  I went to get them at Wal-Mart when I see something from Jillian Michaels for only $20.  It's a detox and cleanse for 7 days and then a major fat burn for the other 7 days.  I checked out the ingredients and they are all natural!!  Seriously, nothing artificial. The detox & cleanse pills are magnesium.  And then the probiotic and fat burning pills are just extracts from leaves and flower powders.  So today I started that.  I have to go to work now.  I will try to keep you updated.

A Fun & Detoxing Day

When I say detoxing I really mean it.  I slept in until 11 and got on the scale...and what do I see?  I'm up 2lbs.  NO WAY!!  I even went to the gym with Annetta the day before.  I was on the elyptical for 5 minutes and the bike for 15.  Then I ran and walked for another 10.  Then I went into the steam room.  This can't be happening. Is my body just gaining muscle from not having worked out for so long?  I have no idea, but I hate it.
Annetta and two other friends came over about 11:30 and we headed to the pool.  They brought me a yummy chai latte.  And it was cloudy but we didn't let that set us off.  We were having a pool day.
And we were in the pool about half an hour when the sun came out...YAY!  We played volleyball and chased each other and sun tanned.  Everything and time seemed to go slowly just for us.  It was glorious.
Then around 4 me and Annetta went to friends house to use her foot bath.  It's a machine that draws toxins out of your body.  It helps to clean the liver and kidneys etc.  The recommended time to use it is 40 minutes because it can also draw good minerals out of your body.  This is what the water looked like 3 minutes after I put my feet in.
The fogginess was there before I put my feet in the the yellowish part on the right is the toxins.  Now don't be alarmed by the next picture.  And I hope it doesn't gross you out. But this is what the water looked like 40 minutes after my feet were in there.

um, ew!!!!!!
That was my day.  Now I must to bed because I have a really early start.  I think I will weigh myself if I remember.  Sometimes I forget since I am not doing it every morning.  I hope I'm lower again.

August

Yesterday was the start of a new Month and also a new chapter for me.  I want to be more serious about this.  I know I've been posting that "I'm gonna be good".  But that hasn't worked out so well.  But this month is my birthday month and the anniversary of the month I decided to go vegetarian.  I did it for four weeks last August and I realized my body really liked it.  So I decided to do another thing...Restart myself.  I am behind in losing weight for the year so I really need to kick it up a notch.  Yesterday was my kick off and I did eat somethings I wish I hadn't, and I didn't get to the gym.  I have been working 10:30-7 yesterday and today.  It's hard to go to the gym after such a long day and with it being evening.  So tonight I went after work. I almost convinced myself to get on the bike for a bite before hitting the water.  But I decided to go against it.  On days like this I usually have no energy and don't last very long on the machines.  So I just got my bathing suit on and went into the steam room.  Then swamp back and forth in the pool.  Hopped on over to the hot tub.  I have been having a stiff neck in the morning so I was trying to ease it a bit.  Then back in the pool where I talked a lady about somethings she learned in the water aerobics class.  Pretty cool.  But she brought to my attention that these things are more resistant than the regular weights without the pain.  Of course I like no pain but I was wondering why I gained 3 lbs after being at the gym and swimming the last time.  And this made me think, maybe it really was muscle gain. I had been slacking so my muscles could have been working themselves again.  We'll see what the scale says tomorrow but I have only gone down about 1 lb this morning since a  few days ago.  I haven 't been weighing myself every morning like before.  It gets kind of depressing.  I just weigh enough  to know how my weight has been reacting to my lifestyle.  Anyway, I just wanted to post a small one here.
bye bye!
